I think Stephen Curry got the exact New York City welcome that anyone living here could unfortunately expect. On Thursday night, when the NBA superstar was leaving the unveiling of his Under Armour Curry One after a pretty crazy afterparty, two pairs of his new kicks were jacked. The “Candy Reign” Curry 1 and the Charlotte Hornets-inspired color way for his sharpshooter dad, Dell Curry, “Father to Son” were stolen the night before he was going to debut them on the floor for All-Star weekend.
Once UA got the news about how the shoes magically went missing, they were able to rush two new pairs to the All-Star as quickly as possible.
We saw Stephen last night rocking the “Candy Reign” Curry 1 during the Foot Locker 3-point contest, which he also won! Kudos to UA rushing his sneakers in time, who knows maybe he wouldn’t have won the contest without them!
